TENEBRISM: dramatic style, characterized by stark contrasts between light and dark. Tenebrism is more than just a technique; it’s a storytelling device that has been used by countless artistic masters, including Caravaggio and Rembrandt. By highlighting certain elements while shrouding others in shadow, artists can create mood, focus and even narrative tension. By featuring a naked couple, I aimed to evoke themes of vulnerability, strength, and the human form, all while harnessing the powerful effects of chiaroscuro (the use of light and dark). This choice allows for a deep exploration of anatomy and expression, offering infinite possibilities for interpretation.
